My First Bridal Makeup as a Makeup Artist

Hi everyone,

I had this bridal makeup to do for months but they kept shifting the date because of the church thing or pastors but at last they picked the right date. Thinking it was easy for me until I knew about the GTBank Fashion Weekend  which was on the same date Nov 12.

I thought  I'll meet up but I couldn't, because  the naughty bride called me the day before to tell me that I'll need to fix her nails, Makeup  and dress her. I got to her house by 7:55, got a place to stay to do her  makeup but the bulb in that room was not the flurecent bulb, it was all this yellow light. I managed it, I had to put two to three layers of foundation to get her spots and acne covered, I didn't have her color of foundation  but I mixed my own color of Mary Kay foundation with a Classic Makeup USA foundation to get her tone.

She kept on delaying me, squeezing her face,  making calls and attending to other things and people. I couldn't meet up with time because of all thing because she need to be in church  by 11. When it was some minutes to 11 and I was baking her face, she almost started crying because she must not miss the church or go late because the pastor will not join them together again.

Her sister started dressing her up, I completed the dress up, I wanted to Makeup for some brides maids but there was no time and while the driver came we had to rush into the car and completed the rest of the Makeup in the car keeping up with the speed of the driver. When  we got to the church I had to complete the rest and I wasn't able to take her close picture to see my work well.

I waited for her thinking I'll adjust her face and all, before she starts taking pictures with people and all. She didn't allow me they were  in a hurry to take pictures. I allowed  them and I was still waiting for her so I can make her look nicer for the reception, the same thing happened, they were in a rush. I had to let her go and time was gone, I couldn't go for the Fashion Week (so sad) .

Her bridesmaids

The photographer kept on telling them to pose in different ways.

She looks so innocent. This naughty girl that shouted at me out of anxiety.

Thank God it came and has gone.  I didn't do anything wrong even though I feel am not still very good.

XOXO royalbiba out.
